Apparently, the world had to wait for a special occasion to learn that Tanzania is (finally?) food self-sufficient! That ‘special occasion’ was the state visit in October of the People’s Republic of China by the sitting President of the United Republic of Tanzania (Tanzania), Jakaya Kikwete.
